A Warrenton police officer was struck Friday afternoon while investigating a single-car accident along eastbound Interstate 70 at the 193 mile marker.Trooper Justin Wheatley of the Missouri Highway Patrol said Warrenton police officer Charles T. Lancey, 32, was investigating an accident involving a Jeep Liberty that was seriously damaged when it hit a concrete barrier when a pickup slid on the icy roadway and struck the Jeep and Lancey, who was standing behind it.The highway patrol said the pickup's driver was Michael D. Heyman, 19, of O'Fallon.The officer was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
