Warrenton Police Department report for September 4-17

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of September 4 through September 17.

Tuesday, September 5

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One was making a left turn when they struck the front left side of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and were driven from the scene.
  • Store employee observed a female skip scanning merchandise. Citations for stealing and trespassing issued. Items recovered.  

Wednesday, September 6

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One noticed Vehicle Two had applied brakes but was unable to stop and struck the rear of Vehicle Two. Vehicle One was towed from the scene by Lewis Family Garage. 
  • Store employee observed a female approach merchandise and place items in her bag. Employee then observed the female to return to the merchandise and remove price tags. Female walked to the counter and tried to return three items but was denied. Female them leaves the store without paying for the merchandise she had picked up. Estimated cost of loss $181.00. Female later returns and is ultimately taken into custody due to outstanding warrants from Warrenton and St. Charles. 
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One became distracted and struck rear of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and able to be driven from scene.
  • Store employee witnessed a male who has been previously trespassed from the premises enter the building. Upon approach the male began yelling before leaving the building. Citation for trespassing issued. 
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One struck Vehicle Two on the Driver’s side while making a left turn. No injuries reported. Both vehicle were operational and were driven from the scene.

Thursday, September 7

  • Man reported a domestic assault in progress. After further investigation it was determined to be a false report. Under investigation. 
  • Employee observed a female skip scanning and not scanning some items at all and then bagging the items. Some items ere recovered, others were recovered but damaged. Female was charged and booked for stealing. Estimated cost of loss $155.90.  

Monday, September 11

  • Store employee witnessed a male subject select multiple items and place them in his backpack and on his person. Subject passed all points of sale and exited the store. Upon acknowledgment by store staff the subject fled on foot. Subject apprehended. Citations issued. Estimated cost of lost $101.85. Subject taken to Warren County Jail where he was charged and booked. 
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One exited the parking lot of Dairy Queen. Driver of vehicle one was not paying attention and hit the back of Vehicle Two. Both air bags deployed in Vehicle One. No injuries reported. Both vehicles towed by Lewis Family Garage. 
  • Two vehicle accident involving a semi-truck. Vehicle One was making a right turn and slid into Vehicle Two. Substantial damage to the driver’s side of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported.
  • Unknown male was seen taking an iPhone that was accidentally left behind by a previous customer. The subject left with another male in a red SUV type vehicle. Estimated cost of loss $900.00.

Tuesday, September 12

  • Store employee witnessed a male subject enter the alcohol aisle and take a bottle of whiskey. Subject then exited the store passing all points of sale. Estimated cost of loss $30.64.
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle Two was coming to a stop when Vehicle One collided with the rear of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles sustained sever damage. Vehicle One was towed by Approved Towing. Vehicle Two was towed by Lewis Family Garage. 

Wednesday, September 13

  • Store employee witnessed a male subject go to the electronics section and take an item off the shelf. Subject then passed all points of sale and exited the store. Estimated cost of loss $24.95. 

Friday, September 15

  • Physical altercation between two juveniles. Under investigation.  

Saturday, September 16

  • Dog on dog animal bite. Both dogs placed on 10 day at home quarantine.
