Warrenton Police Department report for September 18-24

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of September 18 through September 24.

Wednesday, September 20

  • Brindle dog barking at cars and pedestrians. Animal Control Officer obtained the dog and transported him to the shelter.  Owner was informed of the pick-up. The owner was advised of the fees for impound and daily care. Citation issued. 
  • Theft from a vehicle. The owner entered their vehicle and noticed items from the glove box placed on the passenger seat and money missing from the center console. Subject unknown at this time. Estimated cost of loss $3,000. Incident under investigation. 

Thursday, September 21

  • Store employee contacted law enforcement officer in regards to an ex-employee leaving harassing messages. The ex-employee was contacted and trespassed from the business. 
  • Dog bite. Delivery driver approached the residence. Dog pushed open storm door. Delivery driver got bitten on the elbow. Dog was put on 10 day at home quarantine. 
  • Two females were witnessed assaulting another female through her vehicle window. The two women then left the scene. The two women were stopped a short time later and identified. The victim stated she was going to her doctor to receive medical attention due to injuries sustained from the assault. 
  • Pedestrian with known warrants taken into custody. Subject resisted arrest. Was apprehended and transported to the jail. Citation issued. 

Saturday, September 23

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle Two was driving eastbound on North Service Road. Vehicle One pulled onto the roadway and collided with the driver’s side of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
