The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of May 29 through June 4.

Monday, May 29

  • Two vehicle accident. Driver one attempted to change lanes and collided with passenger side of vehicle two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene. 

Tuesday, May 30

  • Unknown subject scratched or keyed vehicle while the owner was inside the funeral home. Estimated cost of loss $731.94.
  • Man stated he went outside and observed an unknown white male stealing tools out of his truck. The unknown subject failed to close the door on his vehicle and as he fled the scene the tools fell out of the car and onto the pavement. Under investigation.  

Friday, June 2

  • Vehicle verse pedestrian accident. Driver one failed to completely stop for stop sign and struck pedestrian. Driver left the scene. Pedestrian was assessed by EMS at his residence but was not transported to the hospital. Under investigation. 
  • Store personnel observed man switch bar-codes on a shirt and then fail to scan and pay for several items. Estimated cost of loss $174.67. Items recovered. Citation issued to white, male, age 32.

Saturday, June 3

  • Unknown subject(s) turned off the football field lights and knocked over all the chairs which had been set up for graduation ceremony. Under investigation.
