The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of June 5 through June 11.
Monday, June 5
Single vehicle accident. Driver stated he was attempting to park his vehicle and his foot slipped off the brake. The vehicle ran over a concrete parking stop and struck a support beam. The beam broke and landed on the vehicle. No injuries reported. Minor damage to vehicle. Major damage to building.
Store employee observed man and woman fail to scan items at a self checkout register. Merchandise recovered. Citations for stealing and trespassing issued to white, male, age 27 and citation for trespassing issued to white, female, age 31.
Tuesday, June 6
Unknown subject took unsecured STIHL chainsaw from outside of residence. Estimated cost of loss $500.00.
Employee refused to sell alcohol to an intoxicated subject. The man reached over the counter and grabbed the employee’s shirt and threatened him. The subject was observed a short distance away, ran from the officers, and taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. White, male, age 29 arrested and issued citations for assault and resisting arrest.
Wednesday, June 7
Report of vehicle failing to maintain lane. Driver admitted to smoking marijuana and ingesting heroin earlier in the day. Charges pending lab results.
Thursday, June 8
Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One and Vehicle Two collided as they merged into the same lane. Driver One and Two gave conflicting statements. No injuries reported. Vehicle were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
Resident awoke to a subject standing in his bedroom doorway. The subject fled the scene. A warrant has been issued for black, male, age 40.
Friday, June 9
Unknown subject slashed employee’s vehicle tire in Casey’s parking lot. Estimated cost of lost $150.00.
Store manager reports three $500.00 Lotto tickets missing. Under investigation.
Store personnel observed man fail to scan and pay for item at a self checkout register. The subject was arrested for three fail to appear warrants and citations were issued for stealing and trespassing.
Saturday, June 10
Men’s restroom at the athletic complex vandalized. Dispensers and fixtures damaged. Estimated cost of loss unknown at this time.
Pedestrian bit by small dog as he was walking to the high school. Under investigation.
Store personnel observed subject put several items into her backpack. The woman paid for some items at a self checkout register but failed to pay for any of the concealed items. Merchandise recovered. Citation issued to white, female, age 18.
