Warrenton Police Department report for June 26-July 2

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of June 26 through July 2.

Wednesday, June 28

  • Report of resident throwing trash in neighbors yard. Citation issued to white, male age 67. 
  • Unknown subject took a projector from electronics department to the service desk and left the store without paying. The subject was observed on video surveillance the next day where he failed to pay for a battery pack at a self checkout register. Estimated cost of loss $307.98.
  • Unknown subject took set of keys that was accidentally left on the counter by a customer. Under investigation. Estimated cost of loss unknown at this time. 

Thursday, June 29

  • Vehicle stopped for exceeding speed limit and skidding across the roadway. The officer administered standard field sobriety tests to the driver and after further investigation determined the driver was impaired. White, male age 21 was taken into custody. Citations issued for driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. 

Friday, June 30

  • Unknown subject shot at trailer parked on lot. Under investigation. 
  • Subject admitted to puncturing two tires on another man’s vehicle. Estimated cost of loss $298.00. Citation issued for property damage.
