Warrenton Police Department report for June 19-25

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of June 19 through June 25.

Monday, June 19

  • Report of man climbing on top of vehicle and causing damage. Estimated cost of loss $1,310.00. Under investigation.
  • Two subjects took money from gambling machines from her residence and sold it online. Estimated cost of loss $2,400.00. Under investigation. 
  • Woman stated former roommate took her sewing machine from her residence and sold it online. Estimated cost of loss $200.00. Under investigation.

Tuesday, June 20

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One was making a left turn and failed to yield to oncoming Vehicle Two. Driver Two stated she was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. No injuries reported. Both drivers stated they would arrange to have their vehicle towed from the scene. 
  • Unknown subject observed on video surveillance taking new tractor tires and parts from behind store. Under investigation.

Thursday, June 22

  • Store employee observed woman fail to pay for several items and when confronted dropped some of the items outside the front of the store and threw other items in the back of a truck. The woman fled on foot and went inside a nearby restaurant. The white female, age 40 was taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Jail. Citations issued for stealing and trespassing. Estimated cost of loss $160.33. Some merchandise was recovered. 
  • Store employee observed man fail to scan several items and leave the store without paying. Estimated cost of loss $27.82. Items recovered. Citation issued for stealing. 

Friday, June 23

  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One turned left onto the Westbound I-70 entrance ramp and was struck by Vehicle Two. Driver Two stated another driver had turned in front of her causing her to collide with Vehicle One. Both drivers stated they had a green light. No injuries reported. Both vehicle were operational and did not require a tow.
  • Verbal altercation between man and woman over a parking issue. The man punched the woman’s vehicle and dented the hood. Citation issued for property damage. Estimated cost of loss unknown at this time.
