Warrenton Police Department report for July 31-August 6

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of July 31 through August 6.
Monday, July 31
Vehicle stopped for expired plates. Driver Black, Male, Age 55 taken into custody for active fail to appear warrant out of Warrenton. While searching subject incident to arrest the officer found a small baggy of methamphetamine. The subject admitted to having similar baggy under the driver’s seat of his vehicle. Both baggies were seized and placed into evidence. The man was transported to the Warren County Jail. Charges pending lab results.
Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One was making a left turn to go eastbound on Highway U and struck the towed unit of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Neither vehicle required a tow.
Unknown subject broke into a work van parked at business’ parking lot and took several Milwaukee brand power tools. Estimated cost of loss $1,301.22. All the missing tools were later recovered in Warren County venue and returned to the owner.
Wednesday, August 2
Unknown subject tampered with the ignition on an unsecured truck parked for an extended amount of time. Estimated cost of loss unknown.
Thursday, August 3
Vehicle stopped for not having a front license plate. Driver and passenger both arrested on active warrants out of Warren County, probation and parole, and St. Louis County. Three baggies of methamphetamine found during search of vehicle assisted by Troy PD K9 Officer. Charges pending lab results.
Report of woman starting a fire in a trash can and leaving scene. Victims stated they thought the woman was homeless. Under investigation.
Friday, August 4
Truck taken from residence by unknown subject. 1969 dark blue Chevy C10 pickup missing. Estimated cost of loss $8,000.00. Under investigation.
Stolen vehicle recovered. Methamphetamine located during search of subject incident to arrest. White female age 35 taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Jail. Charges pending lab results.
