The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of January 1 to January 21, 2024.

Wednesday, January 3

• North State Highway 47. Two vehicle accident. Vehicle one was traveling northbound on Highway 47 and attempted to make a left turn onto Veterans Memorial Parkway, violating the traffic signal and colliding with vehicle two. Vehicle two was traveling southbound on Highway 47 when vehicle one collided with the front driver’s side quarter panel. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Friday, January 5

• North State Highway 47. Assault report. Altercation between employees. Employee one was working when employee two started yelling at him and slapped him in the chest. A short time later, employee two punched employee three in the face. Employee two was apprehended and taken to jail. Citation issued for assault.

Sunday, January 7

• Westbound Interstate 70. Single vehicle accident. Vehicle one was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 when driver one lost control over the vehicle. Vehicle one went off the road and struck the median barrier. No injuries reported. Vehicle towed from the scene by Lewis Family Garage.

Wednesday, January 10

• Warren County Center. Report of stealing. A store employee witnessed an unknown individual scan and then suspend an order and then leave without payment. Estimated cost of loss was $164.25. Crime remains under investigation.

Saturday, January 13

• Warren County Center. Report of stealing. A store employee witnessed a male and female stealing multiple products after passing all points of sale without payment. Estimated cost of loss was $28.88. Two citations issued.

Monday, January 15

• Warren County Center. Report of stealing. A store employee witnessed a female skip scanning at the self checkout. Female then took all merchandise past all points of sale without full payment. Female apprehended. Estimated cost of loss was $201.54. Citation issued.
