Warrenton Police Department report for February 18-25

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of February 18 to February 25, 2024.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

  • West Warrenton Boulevard. Single vehicle accident. Vehicle one was traveling westbound on Highway 70. A semi truck entered vehicle one’s lane. Vehicle one swerved to avoid a collision. Vehicle one lost control and struck the center median cables. Significant damage was reported. Vehicle was towed from the scene by Skyline.
  • Coleman Drive. Animal compliant. Citizen witnessed a male husky at large. The owner of the dog was notified and advised their dog was at the shelter. Citation issued. Ten day notice given.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

  • Warrior Avenue. Animal complaint. An employee at the Warrenton Aquatics Center witnessed two puppies at large at the center. The puppies were taken to the animal shelter. The owner was identified and advised their puppies were at the shelter. The owner surrendered the puppies. Two citations issued.
  • Westbound Interstate 70. Two vehicle accident. Vehicle two was driving westbound on Highway 70. Vehicle two was struck on the front passenger side by the wheel by vehicle one.
  • Warren County Center. Stealing. A store employee witnessed a male subject conceal items in his pockets. The subject then passed all points of sale. The subject was apprehended. Estimated cost of loss was $68.65. Citation issued.
