Warrenton Police Department report for August 7-13

The Record
The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of August 7 through August 13.
Monday, August 7
Unknown subject(s) damaged resident’s mailbox. Estimated cost of loss $50.00.
Two juveniles were caught taking items without paying. The juveniles were released to their responsible parties. Estimated cost of lost $60.51. All merchandise was recovered. Juvenile referrals will be completed and forwarded to the Warren County Juvenile Office.
Wednesday, August 9
Report of man walking in traffic. White, male, age 36 arrested for warrant out of Warren County. Small baggy of methamphetamine found near prisoner bench where subject had been handcuffed. Subject had been observed kicking the baggy. Charges pending lab results.
Thursday, August 10
Windshield cracked by golf ball belonging to unknown subject. Estimated cost of loss $425.00.
Man took item from Walmart without paying and left the scene, striking a Walmart employee on the way out. The man re-entered the store and struck the same employee again. The officer observed the subject walking nearby and told the subject to stop. The man initially refused officer’s order to stop. When the subject did stop he refused to be handcuffed. The subject was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Warren County jail. Citations issued for resisting arrest, stealing, and assault.
Friday, August 11
Residents allowed two acquaintances to stay at their home overnight. Several items were missing after the subjects left. Estimated cost of lost $1,125.00. Under investigation.
Unknown subject keyed vehicle parked on the Rural King parking lot. Estimated cost of lost $1,500.00. Under investigation.
Suspicious vehicle parked behind closed business. Officer observed an odor of an intoxicating beverage upon contact with the Driver. After further investigation the Officer determined the subject to be impaired. Driver arrested. Citations issued for driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle on highway without a valid license.
Saturday, August 12
Vehicle stopped for driving in center of roadway and failing to signal for a left turn. Officer administered standard field sobriety tests to the driver and determined the Driver was impaired. White, female, age 48 arrested. Citations issued for driving while intoxicated, failing to signal, and improper lane use. The passenger was escorted home on foot by another Officer due to residence being within walking distance.
Sunday, August 13
Unknown man took durag from store without paying, Estimated cost of loss $3.97.
