Warrenton Police Department report for August 21-27

The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of August 21 through August 27.

Monday, August 21

  • Unknown subject took unsecured bike from resident’s porch. Teal Huffy rock creek bike taken. Estimated cost of loss $115.00.
  • Store employee observed woman switching price tags. White, female, age 35 admitted to taking items from the store on four separate occasions. Citation issued. 
  • Store employee observed previously trespassed woman inside the store. White, female, age 33, arrested for warrant out of Wentzville. Citation issued for trespassing.  

Tuesday, August 22

  • Two male employees stated an unknown man came into the store, pointed a handgun at them, and demanded money. The employees gave the subject cash from the register. The man left the store and fled east on foot. Incident currently under investigation.
  • Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One was passing a parked vehicle and the driver’s side mirror scraped the side on oncoming Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Neither vehicle required a tow.  

Wednesday, August 23

  • Dog at large. Canine was taken to the Warrenton Animal Shelter. Dog owner, white, female, age 32, issued citation. 
  • Store employee observed woman intentionally failing to scan items at a self checkout register. Items recovered. White, female, age 45, arrested. Citation issued. 
  • Vehicle stopped for no headlights when required. Upon contact with the driver the Officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Driver appeared to be under the influence and admitted to smoking marijuana prior to driving. Charges pending lab results. 

Thursday, August 24

  • Unknown subject stated they would post private pictures if payment was not received. Communication was done through mobile apps. Estimated cost of loss $1,100.00. 

Friday, August 25

  • Store employee observed woman conceal items and attempt to leave store without paying. White, female, age 55, arrested for warrant out of Warren County. Citations issued from stealing and trespassing. Male subject with the woman was issued citations issued for stealing and trespassing. Male subject with the woman was issued citation for trespassing. The man had previously been trespassed at another store location.
  • Store employee observed man take Pokemon Go Cards out of packaging, conceal them in his pocket, and attempt to leave the store without paying. Citation issued to white, male, age 34. 
  • Victim of an overpayment scam was sent threatening messages on Instagram by unknown subject.
