Several criminal charges have been filed against a Columbia man who police say was found unconscious in a parked vehicle on Highway 47 in Warrenton early Sunday morning.Charles Steven Aubuchon Jr., 43, was charged with three felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and one felony count for first-degree tampering. He also was charged with misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.According to a probable cause statement, Warrenton police were dispatched to the area of Highway 47 south of Booneslick Road for a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel around 4 a.m. Once Aubuchon and a passenger were awakened, a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and pills identified as oxycodone and acetaminophen, police said.Items located in the vehicle raised suspicions if the vehicle belonged to Aubuchon. Once contact was made with the owner, who lived in the De Soto area, she told police she gave permission for Aubuchon to use the vehicle for 15 minutes on May 21.
