By Chris OrletA Warrenton man was killed Wednesday, Aug. 14, when the aluminum ladder he was using to paint a building touched a high tension wire.Zane Viper, 42, was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph West Medical Center, according to Warren County Coroner Roger Mauzy.Viper, who owns the painting company Brothers with Brushes, was painting an old schoolhouse on Ranch Road off Highway AA , when the accident occurred. Since there was no cell phone reception, relatives drove Viper to the Warrenton Fire Protection District Station 2.At the time, the firefighters were out on a call and the station was empty except for a guest who was staying at the firehouse for the night. The guest, Joe Patrick II, a veteran who is walking across America to honor fallen veterans got the victim out of the vehicle, called 911 and began giving CPR to the victim.
