Christopher Biernbaum, 35, and Deanna Edwards, 36, both of Warrenton, were charged with stealing $750 or more stemming from an August 2024 incident.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warrenton Police Officer Riley MacInnis, he responded to a report of stealing at the Warrenton Wal-Mart on Aug. 6, 2024.
He then saw Biernbaum trying to push a shopping cart full of merchandise up the hill at the T-Mobile Store.
According to the probable cause statement, when Biernbaum saw the officers he abandoned the cart and began to quickly walk up the hill.
He was caught by officers and brought back to Wal-Mart where he was identified on CCTV footage by employees with Edwards walking past all points of sale with the cart without paying.
According to the probable cause statement the cart had roughly $1,800 worth of merchandise in it.
Biernbaum was also charged with stealing a car in Warrenton on May 16 in a separate incident.
A warrant was issued for both individuals’ arrests and they are to be held on a $2,000 cash bond each.
