Posted

A Warrenton man was injured in a rollover crash Sunday, Aug. 16, on Interstate 70 in Wright City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The 45-year-old man was traveling east on I-70 near the 199 mile marker “at a high rate of speed” at 3:46 p.m. in a 2009 Cadillac CRT when he veered to the left in an attempt to avoid a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek, also traveling eastbound, according to the MSHP.

The front right of the Cadillac struck the back left of the Subaru, according to the crash report. The Cadillac overcorrected, then overturned.

The Cadillac driver was transported by Warren County Ambulance District personnel to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake St. Louis for treatment of moderate injuries. The Subaru driver, a 49-year-old St. Louis woman, was apparently uninjured. Both were wearing seat belts.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes.
