A Warrenton man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday, Oct. 12, on Interstate-70.Frederick L. Jones, 47, died when a westbound 2014 Mazda CXS driven by David M. Shipman, 64, of Columbia, struck him as he walked in the right lane of traffic. The incident occured at 1:40 a.m. on westbound I-70 at the 199 mile marker.Jones was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:22 a.m. by Warren County Coroner Roger Mauzy.Mauzy said Jones was staying with relatives in Warrenton.A toxicology report was conducted on Jones, though the results were not complete, said Mauzy.Warrenton Man Dies After Being Struck By Car
