A Warrenton man was arrested Sunday, April 19, for violating a protection order, less than two weeks after he pleaded guilty to two counts on similar charges.According to police, the suspect, identified as Michael William Stuart, 42, visited a home in the 700 block of Steinhagen and after leaving also made at least two phone calls while an officer was at the residence. When Stuart was identified driving near a gas station, a brief chase ensued on eastbound Interstate 70 before being terminated because of his erratic driving.On Monday, Stuart was charged with felony violation of a protection order and two misdemeanors for resisting arrest and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.A full order of protection was granted on April 7, according to the probable cause statement. The day before, Stuart pleaded guilty to two protection order violations. Police said they completed seven incident reports in reference to Stuart violating a protection order between March 4 and April 18.Warrenton man charged with violating protection order
