A Warrenton man was charged Thursday, March 9, for allegedly attempting to steal a 2006 BMW passenger car that was parked in a business’s parking lot.Justin M. Boser, 20, Warrenton, is charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with tampering with a motor vehicle, a felony.The charges stem from a Dec. 2, 2016, incident in which Boser allegedly got in and moved a vehicle that was on the Dolan parking lot, 210 W. Highway 50.The keys were in the ignition.Union police said the vehicle was moved approximately 30 feet before the suspect had trouble, abandoned the car and started walking away. During an interview, Boser admitted to being in the vehicle and attempting to steal it, as well as doing drugs in the previous days, police said.Bond was set at $10,000.Crime
