A Warrenton man was charged with five counts of statutory sodomy for incidents that allegedly occurred between Jan. 1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2016.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warrenton Police Department, the department was contacted by an individual who said that a family member told her Joseph Travis of Warrenton molested him when he was younger.
During an interview of the victim, the victim disclosed that Travis touched him inappropriately on five occasions and performed other inappropriate acts.
According to the investigation,Travis was the suspect in a previous investigation from 2017 involving a six-year-old. No other information was immediately available.
A no-bond warrant was issued for Travis’ arrest May 13.
