A Warrenton man was charged with harassment in the first degree following an incident Feb. 24.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Warrenton Police Department, officers made contact with Jamil Antwain Blair Jr. who said he came outside of a residence in Warrenton to provoke an argument with the victim and her family.
According to the affidavit, Blair has prior reports of harassment and assault against residents at the address. During the officer’s contact with the victim, Blair continued to make statements toward the victim. The victim said Blair had previously made statements that he would kill her when she came back to the residence.
The affidavit said three witnesses observed Blair making threats to kill the victim.
Blair is being held without bond in the Warren County jail.
