Jonathan Alger, 35, of Warrenton, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree kidnapping and second-degree domestic assault stemming from incidents taking place on July 16 in Warrenton.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy Erick Alumbaugh, Alger had followed the victim to a gas station where he kidnapped her.
The victim said he forced her into the passenger seat of her car and drove her to another location. He then carried her by her throat to the backseat of the car and began to sexually assault her, according to the probable cause statement.
The victim stated she began to scream and Alger was worried about the noise and returned her to Wal-Mart.
Alumbaugh reported the victim had injuries consistent with the alleged crimes.
A warrant has been issued for Alger’s arrest and he is to be held without bond.
