Benjamin O’Farrell, 42, of Warrenton, was charged with third-degree domestic assault and first-degree harassment, both felonies, in connection to an Aug. 23 incident.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy David Brown, officers responded to a disturbance on the late morning of Aug. 23.
The victim had bruises and scratches on her arm and damage to her ring finger, which she said she believed was broken.
According to the probable cause statement, the injuries occurred when O’Farrell knocked her down while they were fighting over a cell phone.
The victim said O’Farrell has a mental disorder and that he told her he has “the right and the ability to murder her,” according to the probable cause statement.
A warrant has been issued for O’Farrell’s arrest and he is to be held without bond.
