A Warrenton man was charged with a felony count of fourth-degree domestic assault following an incident on Aug. 4.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Adam Sage, 54, was charged following an incident where the victim alleged that she and Sage engaged in an argument where she tried to leave their residence and Sage allegedly pulled her to the ground by her shirt. She tried to stand up several times but Sage allegedly struck her rear causing her to fall to the ground three times, the affidavit states.
Dispatch then advised that Sage was observed driving his vehicle on Hickory Lick Road towards Highway 47 and his vehicle was later located at Fast Lane North.
Sage was placed under arrest, but began resisting and refused to enter the caged portion of the vehicle, according to the affidavit. Several officers then assisted getting Sage into the vehicle and he was later transported to the Warren County Jail.
