Warrenton man charged with delivery of controlled substance

A Warrenton man was charged with delivery of a controlled substance following a traffic stop April 30 on eastbound Interstate 70 at mile marker 198.2.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department a deputy observed a white 2025 Genesis G70 failing to stay in the right-hand lane for an extended period of time without passing anyone and was stopped at mile marker 198.2 on I-70.

The deputy identified a passenger in the vehicle as Jason Myer, 42, Warrenton, who the deputy knew through prior narcotics investigations, according to the affidavit.

After obtaining consent to search, the deputy located a glass smoking device commonly associated with methamphetamine use as well as 35.67 grams of cocaine inside Myer’s underwear packaged consistently with the distribution of narcotics, according to the affidavit. The deputy also found $3,876 in Myer’s possession.

A no bond warrant for Myer’s arrest was issued Thursday, Oct. 23.
