Warrenton man charged with damaging property

A Warrenton man was charged with property damage in the first degree and resisting arrest for an incident on July 13.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Warrenton Police Department, officers made contact with the victim and Joshua Woods, 35, Warrenton. The victim reported that Woods pushed them to the ground during an argument, resulting in a bruised elbow. While one of the officers was attempting to assist the victim, Woods advanced upon the officer. When Woods was order to place his hands behind his back he resisted, resulting in a physical struggle with officers where Woods and the officers fell into a rock bed. One of the officers sustained injruies.

After Woods was released from jail he returned and destroyed the victim’s phone and damaged the victim’s vehicle by pouring alcohol on it and jumping on the hood.

A no bond warrant was issued for Woods arrest on Oct. 27.
