A Warrenton man was charged with stealing a motor vehicle on the morning of May 16.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warrenton Police Officer Riley MacInnis, Christopher Biernbaum, 35, of Warrenton, was seen in the area of Booneslick Road where the car was stolen at approximately 6:20 a.m. on the morning of May 16, according to security footage provided by the victim.
Furthermore, Biernbaum’s property, including court documents with his name on them were found where the vehicle had been parked, according to the probable cause statement.
Biernbaum was found later that day in the driver’s seat of the vehicle on Steinhagen Road wearing the same clothing he was seen wearing in the security footage. A witness also said she had overheard Biernbaum saying the vehicle was stolen, according to the probable cause statement.
A warrant has been issued for Biernbaum’s arrest and he is to be held on a $2,500 cash bond.
