A Warrenton man is facing felony felony charges stemming from an incident in late June when he allegedly rammed his girlfriend’s car intentionally with his own vehicle, injuring his child passenger when her head struck the dashboard and then leaving her stranded in a parking lot.
Troy Mann was charged July 15 with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree property damage in connection with the June 28 incident.
Warrenton police and Warren County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to search for Mann that day after he allegedly fled from a traffic stop. When Mann was located, he allegedly admitted that he had been involved in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend at her workplace in Warrenton.
Following the verbal dispute, Mann allegedly got in his vehicle and intentionally drove it into his girlfriend’s, causing damage. The juvenile passenger in Mann’s vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and struck her head on the dashboard, injuring her cheek, eye and forehead, according to a probable cause statement.
“As the juvenile exited the vehicle, Mr. Mann abruptly left the area, leaving the juvenile who was in his care and custody stranded in the parking lot,” according to the statement.
Mann, born in 1989, was being held Tuesday at the Warren County Jail with his bond set at $15,000 cash only.
