A man was arrested Wednesday, May 6 for the charge of domestic assault first degree and property damage in the first degree, according to a recent release from the Warrenton Police Department.
According to the release, officers were made aware of an active felony warrant for Joshua Woods of Warrenton for domestic assault and property damage that stemmed from a prior incident where Woods used his vehicle as a weapon towards the victim.
Officers responded to a residence in Warrenton in an attempt to take Woods into custody. They observed Woods inside the residence, but he refused to exit the home. Eventually the officers forced entry into the home and Woods was taken into custody.
Woods is currently being held without bond in the Warren County Jail.
