Warrenton man arrested at O’Fallon Walmart

A man from Warrenton was arrested at a Walmart in O’Fallon after allegedly making death threats against a family member.Ryan L. Duncan, 38, is now charged with stealing a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm, and is being held in jail in St. Charles County on a $50,000 bond.Duncan was detained around 7 p.m. Oct. 5 in the parking lot of Walmart on Highway K in O’Fallon. Warren County Sheriff’s Department had contacted O’Fallon police and asked officers to look for Duncan there after he allegedly made homicidal threats to a family member, according to a statement from the O’Fallon Police Department.After detaining Duncan, police found a firearm in his possession they said had been reported stolen in Warren County. Court records show Duncan has multiple prior felony convictions, and is therefore not allowed to have firearms in his possession.Duncan has a court hearing scheduled for Oct. 16 in the Division 10 courtroom of the St. Charles Circuit Court, 300 N. Second St. in the city of St. Charles.
