A Warrenton man was arrested by the Missouri Highway Patrol last week after a chase in Camden County that ended with his vehicle going over a cliff.
Darrell W. Matlock, 33, was arrested Jan. 21 and accused of multiple traffic violations, driving under the influence of drugs, driving with a revoked license, resisting arrest and tampering with a motor vehicle, according to the highway patrol.
The patrol said Matlock intentionally steered the 2016 Ford F250 he was driving away from the road, eventually driving over a bluff. The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m.
Local station KRMS reports Matlock fled from the crash, and was located by a highway patrol helicopter while hiding behind a residence.
Matlock reportedly suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
