Warrenton man arrested a minute after robbing Wentzville bank

A Warrenton man was apprehended Thursday one minute after he robbed a Wentzville bank.Robert E. Lascelle, Jr., 43, of the 22000 block of Cedar Grove Village Street, was charged with second degree robbery after holding up the Bank of Old Monroe, 1903 Wentzville Parkway, at approximately 3:20 p.m.According to court documents, Lascelle told the bank teller to give him “all the money.” The teller complied, then activated the bank alarm alerting police, who stopped Laschelle shortly after fleeing the bank.Police recovered an undisclosed amount of money.According to court records, Lascelle has a long list of prior felonies, including several DUIs, drug charges, burglary and stealing.Lascell is being held in St. Charles County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bond.
