Warrenton juveniles injured in two-car accident in St. Francois County

A Warrenton woman, 58, and two juveniles, a 12-year-old-boy and an 11-year-old-girl, were injured in a two-car accident in St. Francois County on the afternoon of June 23, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Warrenton juveniles injured in two-car accident in St. Francois County

A Warrenton woman, 58, and two juveniles, a 12-year-old-boy and an 11-year-old-girl, were injured in a two-car accident in St. Francois County on the afternoon of June 23, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

The accident occurred when a Poplar Bluff man, 41, was traveling south on U.S. 67 north of Cash Lane behind the Warrenton woman. According to the patrol, he was not paying attention to the road ahead, and crashed into the rear of her vehicle. 

He then traveled off the right side of the road and struck a rock embankment. 

Two occupants in the Poplar Bluff’s man reported injuries. A 14-year-old-boy from Poplar Bluff in the vehicle reported serious injuries along with a Poplar Bluff woman, 45. The 14-year-old was transported to St. Louis City Children's Hospital via air evacuation. The Poplar Bluff woman was also evacuated by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The Poplar Bluff woman was not wearing her seat belt, according to the patrol, and the Poplar Bluff man did not report any injuries. 

The Warrenton woman and the two juveniles sustained minor injuries in the accident and were all transported to Parkland Health Center Bonne Terre via ambulance.
