For the first time in school history, Warrenton competed in a girls golf match as they took on Liberty at the Warrenton Golf Course on Monday. While the Warriors were beaten 195-237, the historical day could not be overlooked.“Overall it was a great day,” Head Coach Matt Griffin said. “They accomplished many firsts and many of the girls played their first-ever nine holes of golf. They all set career-best rounds and now we can work on beating those scores from here on out.”Deanna Martin shot a team-best 54 through nine holes. The junior described being a part of the first girls golf match for the Warriors as “unforgettable.”The three other Warrenton golfers to finish behind Martin were Jordan Todd (58), Liberty Billings (58) and Taylor Null (67).“This is a day we will never forget,” Martin said.
