The Warrenton girls basketball team will meet the top-seeded host in the championship game of the Washington Tournament on Friday at 8:30 p.m.The Warriors, who entered the field as the sixth seed, avenged a December loss to Holt on Wednesday, claiming a 51-44 semifinal win against the Indians on Wednesday.Warrenton gained an early edge it wouldn't relinquish, leading by three after the first quarter and at halftime.The Warriors were up by five heading into the final period.Sophomore Jenny Jansen led the way with 17 points, while senior Hannah Sutton added nine.Senior Kylie Toebben chipped in nine points.JANSEN LEADS WARRIORSDerrick Forsythe photo.
