The Warrenton girls basketball team advanced to the championship game of its host tournament by defeating Francis Howell Central 51-44.
The second-seeded Warriors will face No. 1 seed and defending champion Duchesne in the title game on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Warrenton used strong second and fourth quarters to pull away from Howell Central.
The Warriors trailed 14-13 after one quarter but claimed a 30-24 lead at halftime.
Howell Central led 36-30 heading into the final period, during which Warrenton unleashed 15 points.
Senior Hannah Sutton led the way with 19 points, while sophomores Jenny Jansen and Kaylee Anderson scored 13 and 11, respectively.
This will be the Warriors' first time playing in the championship of their tournament. They defeated Liberty in the first round to reach this point.
