A 13-year-old Warrenton girl was injured Sunday, Aug. 30, in a “towed watersport mishap” in Ralls County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 65-year-old North Bend, Washington man was operating a 2003 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck boat on Mark Twain Lake, pulling the Warrenton girl and another passenger on a tube, when the girl and the other passenger struck heads at 12:35 p.m., according to the MSHP.

Although the second passenger was uninjured, the girl sustained moderate injuries, according to the incident report. She was transported by Ralls County Emergency Medical Services personnel to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment. The Ralls County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the incident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes or boating incidents.
