The Warrenton Warriors used a strong second quarter to win their first game of the season.
The Warriors (1-3) scored three second quarter touchdowns to claim a 19-0 halftime lead.
Austin Haas scored Warrenton's first touchdown of the game. He scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 7:51 left in the first half. Warrenton quarterback Charlie Blondin threw a pair of touchdown passes to Colton Brosenne late in the second half to give Warrenton a 19-0 lead. The second touchdown came with eight seconds left in the first half. The Warrior defense recovered two fumbles and stopped St. Charles on a 4th down attempt in the second quarter.
Warrenton added a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Warrenton is now 1-0 in GAC North play. They will host conference foe St. Charles West next week.
