Warrenton Fire Protection District announced Monday, July 27, that it has added Sparky the fire dog to its team.
Sparky “is the face and fire safety inspiration of the National Fire Prevention Association,” according to the fire protection district, and comes to Warrenton thanks in part to a $1,000 donation from Scott Costello and the Tri-County Agency.
“The Warrenton Fire Protection District greatly appreciates these partnerships with the business community in support of this vision,” the district said in a press release.
“This unique visual and interactive resource will refresh fire prevention education messages and programs in the Warrenton community with both the young and old.”
Be on the lookout for Sparky at community events in the near future, the district said.
