Warrenton Fire Protection District is selling its old fire station at Highway 47 and Lakeview Drive in Warrenton.Currently known as Station 4, the district said the building had been used to house a hazmat truck with equipment and to conduct training activities.“Due to our current financial situation, we have decided to sell this building,” the district announced on its Facebook page.The hazmat truck has been relocated to the district headquarters on Fairgrounds Road, the district said.Warrenton Fire Chief Anthony Hayeslip previously told The Record that the fire district’s budget has become very tight, and that the old station doesn’t have a use that justifies maintaining it.The fire station is being sold through Main Street Real Estate in Warrenton.
