It was an uphill climb from the opening kickoff for the Warrenton football team on Friday.
The Warriors fell 47-6 to Zumwalt North, surrendering huge chunks of yardage to the Panthers' rushing game.
It took North just two plays from scrimmage to score on their opening drive and several of their scoring drives consisted of just a few plays.
Warrenton provided an answer on its opening drive, looking to senior Austin Black to move the ball. Black scored the Warriors' only touchdown on a 15-yard run with 8:19 remaining in the first quarter.
Warrenton dropped to 1-2 on the season and will travel to Zumwalt East next Friday.
