A Warrenton man was killed in a single-car crash late at night Friday, March 8.The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Carl V. Cochran, 56, Warrenton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that happened at 11:40 p.m. on Highway W.A preliminary crash report states Cochran was driving a 2006 Ford Focus northbound on Highway W near Warrenton, and traveled off the left side of the road about a mile north of Interstate 70. The vehicle struck a tree, and Cochran was pronounced dead at the scene by Warren County Ambulance staff 16 minutes later, according to the report. Cochran was wearing a seat belt.Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the crash happened on a Saturday night. It happened Friday, March 8. We apologize for the error.Crash
