Warrenton Downtown Association is rebranding itself.Warren County business owners and individuals are part of the Warrenton Downtown Association. They are working to generate buzz for downtown events and businesses.Goals for the rebranding effort are to revitalize, organize, rebuild, create awareness and expand.Bob Truetken, owner of Deerfield’s on Main, serves as the group’s president. He is joined by Teresa Brent from the dental office of James Brent, DDS, Ellie Stapleton, owner of Celeste Beauty Bar, secretary, and Cindy Burke of Cindy J. Burke, LLC, treasurer.“We all have a vested interest in seeing Downtown Warrenton revitalized, and in helping it grow,” Truetken said. “We want this organization to be focused on building our Main Street and downtown so that we can be a leader in growing the Warrenton community.”The group wants to restart successful events it once hosted. Specifically, an annual spring downtown festival that would take place on Main Street and include activities for the whole family, as well as vendors and potentially a car show.“This year’s event will be much smaller than what our dream event looks like,” said Stacey Blondin, chairperson for the events committee and co-owner of Main Street Real Estate.“We just want to get our feet wet,” she said. “We think the people of the city will come out and we can use their feedback to grow the event into exactly what we want in the future.”Jessica Catron and Jenn Ruth Spillers are volunteering their time to design and market for the organization’s rebranding. The group will be updating the community on its Facebook page and in The Record.Warrenton Downtown Association
