The Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that they are able to offer four scholarships to graduating seniors this year.
There will be a $1,000 and a $500 scholarship awarded through the Danny J. Martin/Dr. James Cale Memorial Scholarship. The criteria for these two scholarships will be based on academic transcript, a resume, and a short essay on “Entrepreneurship and How it Impacts Your Community.”
In an effort to meet the needs of students taking a different path, there will be a second type of scholarship which is the Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce Trade/Vocational Program Scholarship. There will be a $1,000 and $500 scholarship awarded for this scholarship. The criteria will be a resume and a project portfolio to include pictures of design, project in transition and completed project (with descriptions).
All scholarship applicants must be sponsored by a Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce member. To see a list of Chamber members, go to www.warrentoncoc.com.
The scholarship recipients will be selected by the Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee members.
Scholarship applications are available at the Warrenton High School counseling office or online at www.warrentonhighschool.warrencor3.org and must be returned by March 24. Recipients will be announced at the school’s annual Awards Night.
