Warrenton pounded out 15 hits, led by junior Kaylee Anderson's four-hit performance, to beat Jeff City Helias 15-3 in six innings in the Class 3 semifinals Friday.The Warriors (27-2) will face Notre Dame (27-3), which beat Lafayette 10-3 in the other semifinal, in the state championship Saturday at 4 p.m. The game will be played at the Killian Sports Complex in Springfield.The Warriors jumped ahead with a four-run first inning and Anderson smashed a solo homer in the second to extend the lead. Anderson went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs and two runs scored. Junior Jenny Jansen added three hits, while seniors Amanda LaFaver and Erica Rugh each had two hits in the win. Sophomore Amanda Vehlewald also hit a two-run home run in the third inning to give Warrenton an 8-2 cushion. The offensive support backed the pitching of senior Taylor Nordwald. The right-hander allowed just three hits to earn the win. She struck out eight and walked two. only 1 of the three runs allowed were earned.Warriors
