Posted

The Warrenton Board of Aldermen approved a bid for repairs to Yankee Court during its June 6 board of aldermen meeting.

The project will repair the dead-end street, which is visibly deteriorating.

Aldermen approved M & H Concrete Contractors, Inc. for the work. The St. Peters-based company submitted a bid for $138,450. The city had budgeted $178,000 for the work.

Two other bids had been submitted for the work. Matthews Concrete Concepts, based in Wright City bid $139,890. A third bid for $313,160 came from Gray Horizon Concrete & Flatwork, based in Winfield.

The city’s public works director recommended alderman approve the lowest bid.

Aldermen approved the measure by a 6-0 vote as part of the meeting’s consent agenda.
