The city of Warrenton has proposed 4 percent rate hikes for residential water and sewer service.Residential customers would see an average increase of 78 cents per month for water and 89 cents per month for sewer, said city finance officer Dana Belaska.Commercial customers would see an average increase of $3.26 per month for water and $2.83 per month.Properties outside the city limits of Warrenton are charged higher rates for water and sewer service, which would also increase.The proposed rate increases will be taken up by the Warrenton Board of Aldermen at its next meeting, June 19 at 7 p.m. in Warrenton City Hall.
