A Warren County teen is charged in a felon complaint in connection with a residential burglary. Jacob Nelson, 17, is charged with second-degree burglary, stealing over $500 and first degree tampering, according to court records.The Warren County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Nelson, broke into a home in the 23000 block of Cardinal Lane on July 20, and left with the homeowner’s car, a 1994 Toyota Celica.The car contained tools the homeowner used for a business, authorities said.On July 25, Nelson was caught by deputies after he had an accident in the stolen car on Highway U. The car sustained severe damage.The teen led officers to the missing tools, valued at $1,500, according to the report.Nelson told officers he had stolen the car because he was unable to locate personal items he believed he had left at the home.Crime
