The Warren County R-III Board of Education approved the hiring of three new positions Feb. 14.Among the positions was a summer school and care day coordinator as part of the introduction of the four-day school week beginning in the 2019-20 school year.According to the board job description, the individual will be directly responsible to for the general administration, supervisory, and curriculum development for the summer school program. The coordinator will serve as a liaison between the local school and community resources to schedule student supports during care days.The district also hired a custodial supervisor, who will report to the director of maintenance and grounds. District Superintendent Dr. Gregg Klinginsmith said this will allow the director to take on more of a general contractor role of projects taking place at school campuses.In addition, board members approved the temporary position of an interim middle school assistant principal. This individual will serve in a leadership capacity while current Assistant Principal Brad Ross is on leave in military service.Warren County R-III School District logo
