The Warren County R-III Board of Education approved a name for the district’s early childhood center.
The board unanimously approved a motion to name the early childhood center Hopewell Academy Early Childhood Center.
Board Vice-President Sarah Janes recommended using Hopewell in the center’s name. She noted the history of Hopewell and its location in the county.
“Just the fact that there’s historical significance to the name and it’s from our place,” Janes said. “But I also love the fact that the more we learn about early childhood, you want to set those children up for future success. And so you’re hoping well for them. And so I just love the play on words.”
Multiple other board members voiced support for using Hopewell prior to the vote.
